Iceberg cans throw a lot of numbers at you: 13mg, 35mg, 50mg/g, even 150mg. They don't all mean the same thing, and one of them isn't nicotine at all. Here's how to read an Iceberg can, which Iceberg pouches we stock, and where 35mg sits against the other strong pouches on our shelves.
Quick answer: Our Iceberg nicotine pouches are 35mg per pouch (the 50mg/g tier), and they're only for people already used to strong pouches. Every 75mg and 150mg Iceberg can at SnusBox is an Iceberg Energy caffeine pouch with no nicotine. See the full range on our Iceberg brand page.
What Iceberg nicotine pouches are
Iceberg is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch brand made by Neoptolem, a Polish company, according to Snus Vikings. Haypp says the brand was founded in 2019. We haven't seen the maker confirm that date itself.
Plenty of people search for "Iceberg snus", but it isn't snus because there's no tobacco in it. Retailers describe the pouches as plant-based fibres, nicotine and flavourings in a slim, all-white pouch. Our guide to tobacco-free nicotine pouches and how they differ from snus covers the background.
Pouch weight varies a little depending on who you ask. Two Wombats says 0.7g and NicPouches says 0.69g. NicPouches also says every Iceberg can holds 20 pouches, and the other UK retailers we checked agree. Still, check the can you receive.
The bit that trips people up is that Iceberg makes two separate lines. One is nicotine pouches, which are 35mg per pouch in our range. The other is Iceberg Energy caffeine pouches, at 75mg or 150mg of caffeine with no nicotine. The next two sections decode the labels so you don't end up with the wrong can.
Iceberg snus mg: how strong is it really?
The big number on many Iceberg cans is milligrams of nicotine per gram of pouch, not per pouch. To get the per-pouch figure, use this formula: mg per gram × pouch weight = mg per pouch. Once you apply that, the different figures quoted by different shops start to line up.
Take Haypp's 20mg/g can. It holds 13g across 20 pouches, so each pouch weighs about 0.65g, and 20 × 0.65 gives 13mg. That matches Haypp's "13 mg of nicotine per pouch (20 mg/g)" exactly. Work the same tier out at 0.7g and you get 14mg, which is the figure Two Wombats quotes.
The 50mg/g tier works the same way. At 0.7g it comes to 35mg, which is how NicPouches lists it ("50mg/g (35mg per pouch)"). At 0.6g it would be 30mg, which explains why Gigasnus lists one 50mg/g can at 30mg per pouch. We list this tier as 35mg per pouch, and it's the only Iceberg nicotine tier we stock.
| Label figure | Unit | Pouch weight | mg per pouch | Who quotes it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20mg/g | mg per gram | about 0.65g | 13mg | Haypp, NicPouches (~13mg) |
| 20mg/g | mg per gram | 0.7g | 14mg | Two Wombats |
| 50mg/g | mg per gram | 0.7g | 35mg | NicPouches (SnusBox lists 35mg per pouch) |
| 50mg/g | mg per gram | 0.6g | 30mg | Gigasnus |
| 75 / 100 / 120 / 150mg/g | mg per gram | 0.7g | 52.5 / 70 / 84 / 105mg | Two Wombats (our calculation from their figures) |
A note on that last row. Two Wombats quotes 52.5mg, 70mg, 84mg and 105mg Iceberg figures. Those numbers match 75, 100, 120 and 150mg/g multiplied by 0.7g, but that's our own maths, not something the shop states. We don't stock those cans and wouldn't point anyone towards them.
Why some UK shops only list 13mg Iceberg
Haypp says it follows the Swedish SIS/TS 72:2024 guideline, which caps nicotine at 20mg per pouch. That's why you'll only see the 13mg tier there. It's one retailer's own policy, not a UK legal limit.
Is Iceberg Black 150mg nicotine or caffeine?
At SnusBox, every Iceberg can labelled 75mg or 150mg is an Iceberg Energy caffeine pouch with no nicotine. The mg figure is the caffeine per pouch. Iceberg Black comes in both lines, as a 35mg nicotine can and a 150mg caffeine can, both at £4.55. That shared name is exactly why people get confused.

There's a catch if you shop elsewhere. Some other UK shops list a nicotine can as "Iceberg Black 150mg" and use the 150 differently, as mg per gram, as mg per pouch, or simply as part of the product name. If a can doesn't say Energy or caffeine, read the nicotine content printed on the label rather than trusting the number in the title.
Our 150mg Iceberg Energy Black is a caffeine pouch with 150mg of caffeine per pouch and no nicotine. Black is a fruit flavour, but retailers don't agree on exactly which fruit.
Caffeine pouches work differently from nicotine pouches and have their own side effects. Our caffeine pouches guide covers the mg per pouch and how to use them. Cuba has a similar mix-up with numbers, which we unpick in our Cuba Black Line 43mg and the 150mg myth.
Iceberg flavours we stock at £4.55: nicotine or caffeine
The flavour names don't give much away, so here's every £4.55 Iceberg can we list, what it tastes like and which line it belongs to. Where retailers disagree on a flavour, we've said so.
| Flavour | What it tastes like | 35mg nicotine at SnusBox | Iceberg Energy caffeine version |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arasaka | Retailers disagree, naming peach or apricot | Yes | 150mg |
| Black | Fruit blend. Sources disagree, naming banana, tutti frutti, or berry and citrus | Yes | 150mg |
| Emerald | Apple and lime per NicPouches. Other retailers say lemon, apple and mint | Yes | 150mg |
| Sweet Mint | Mint | Yes | 150mg |
| Watermelon Mint | Watermelon and mint | Yes, sold as "Watermelon Mint Gum" | 150mg, sold as "Watermelon Mint" |
| Grape | Grape | Yes | No |
| Kiwi Strawberry | Strawberry and kiwi | Yes | No |
| Sour Berries | Sour berries | Yes | No |
| Strawberry Banana Gum | Strawberry and banana | Yes | No |
| Energy | Energy-drink flavour | Yes (a nicotine pouch, not part of the caffeine line) | No |
| Energy Mango | Mango | — | 75mg |
| Menthol | Menthol | No | 75mg |
| Strawberry Mango | Strawberry and mango | No | 75mg |
Watch out for "Energy". On the nicotine side it's just a flavour name on a 35mg nicotine pouch. It has nothing to do with the Iceberg Energy caffeine line.
If you want a starting point among the 35mg nicotine cans, Arasaka is one to look at. It also comes as a 150mg Iceberg Energy caffeine pouch, so check the mg and the word "Energy" before you add it to your basket.
Is 35mg too strong? What sits in between
For most people, yes. At 35mg, Iceberg sits well above 20mg, and it's only for people already used to strong pouches. Haypp pitches the brand at experienced users too. Don't start here, and don't jump straight to it from a regular-strength pouch.
These are the steps in our range between a typical strong pouch and the very top end:
| Product | Nicotine per pouch | Price per can |
|---|---|---|
| Killa Cold Mint | 13.2mg | £3.79 |
| ZYN XX Strong Menthol Ice | 13.5mg | £4.19 |
| Pablo Gold Frosted Mint | 17mg | £3.79 |
| Garant Extreme Edition Mint | 22mg | £3.99 |
| Pablo Exclusive Red | 24mg | £3.79 |
Read this as a set of options, not a ladder you're meant to climb to the top of. If you're coming from around 6–11mg, move up one step at a time. If a 13–17mg pouch does the job, there's no reason to go any higher.
Pablo Gold sits in the middle at 17mg. It's noticeably firmer than Killa or ZYN XX Strong but nowhere near Iceberg territory, which makes it a sensible place to stop if 35mg sounds like too much.
The 22mg and 24mg options are for people already comfortable with strong pouches. Whatever strength you choose, use one pouch at a time and don't stack or combine pouches. Our nicotine pouch strength guide goes into more detail.
Iceberg vs other 30mg+ pouches: strength and price
Here's how Iceberg compares with every other 30mg-plus range we stock, using the listed price per can.
| Range | Nicotine per pouch | Price per can |
|---|---|---|
| Pablo Exclusive | 30mg | £3.79 |
| Havens Red Line | 32.5mg | £4.29 |
| Aroma Attention | 35mg | £3.99 |
| Iceberg | 35mg | £4.55 |
| Cuba Black Line | 43mg | £3.79 |
| Maggie Extreme | 45mg | £4.55 |
Iceberg sits mid-pack on strength. On price it's joint top with Maggie Extreme, at 76p more than a can of Pablo Exclusive or Cuba Black Line. Aroma Attention matches its 35mg for 56p less. The case for Iceberg is its flavour line-up rather than value. For context on what pouches cost more widely, see our UK nicotine pouch prices guide.
As of October 2026, our multi-buy discount gives you 10% off when you buy 10 or more cans, 15% off at 20 or more and 20% off at 30 or more, applied automatically in the basket.
One last reminder: every pouch in this table is for people already used to very strong pouches. If that isn't you, the options in the previous section are a better fit.
Side effects at 35mg
Nicotine is addictive, and the stronger the pouch, the more noticeable the effects. Side effects can include hiccups, gum irritation, nausea and dizziness, especially if you're not used to the strength.
If any of that happens, take the pouch out. Next time, choose a lower strength rather than pushing through. Our guide to nicotine pouch side effects covers this in more depth.
The caffeine line has its own side effects. NicPouches notes Iceberg Energy is "not suitable for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women". Our caffeine pouches guide, linked above, explains the rest.
Is Iceberg snus legal in the UK?
As of October 2026, selling tobacco for oral use (traditional snus) has been illegal in the UK since 1992 under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 re-enacts that ban from 29 October 2026 under section 8.
Iceberg contains no tobacco, so it's a tobacco-free nicotine pouch rather than tobacco snus. SnusBox sells tobacco-free nicotine pouches, not tobacco snus.
The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 received Royal Assent on 29 April 2026. Under section 51, it defines a "nicotine product" to include any substance containing nicotine that is intended to be delivered into the body, other than tobacco, vapes and licensed medicines. That covers nicotine pouches. From 29 October 2026, it's an offence to sell nicotine pouches to anyone under 18 in England and Wales (section 10). Our article is snus legal in the UK? covers the law in full.
FAQs
How many mg is Iceberg snus?
The Iceberg nicotine pouches we stock are 35mg per pouch, which corresponds to the 50mg/g tier. Some UK shops list a 13mg (20mg/g) tier instead. The 75mg and 150mg Iceberg cans we sell are caffeine pouches, not nicotine.
Is Iceberg Black 150mg nicotine or caffeine?
At SnusBox, Iceberg Black 150mg is an Iceberg Energy caffeine pouch with no nicotine, and our nicotine version of Black is 35mg. Other shops sometimes use "150" on nicotine cans. Check whether the label says Energy or caffeine, or shows a nicotine content.
What does 50mg/g mean on an Iceberg can?
It means 50mg of nicotine per gram of pouch. Multiply by the pouch weight (about 0.7g) and you get roughly 35mg per pouch.
Are Iceberg Energy pouches nicotine-free?
Yes. Iceberg Energy pouches are caffeine pouches with no nicotine, at 75mg or 150mg of caffeine per pouch. Don't confuse them with the 35mg nicotine flavour called Energy, and bear in mind caffeine pouches have their own side effects, which our caffeine pouch guide covers.
Are Iceberg pouches suitable for beginners?
No. At 35mg they're only for adults already used to strong pouches. If you're coming from a lower strength, move up one step at a time and stop wherever a strength suits you.
How strong is Iceberg compared with ZYN or Killa?
Our strongest ZYN is ZYN XX Strong at 13.5mg, and Killa is 13.2mg, so 35mg Iceberg is more than two and a half times either. That's a big jump, which is why we don't recommend going straight from one to the other.
What flavour is Iceberg Arasaka?
Retailers don't agree: some describe it as peach, others as apricot. It comes as a 35mg nicotine pouch and as a 150mg Iceberg Energy caffeine pouch, so check which one you're buying.
How many pouches are in a can of Iceberg?
NicPouches says every Iceberg can contains 20 pouches, and the other UK retailers we checked say the same. Check the can you receive to be sure.
Who makes Iceberg nicotine pouches?
Neoptolem, a Polish company. Haypp says the brand was founded in 2019.
Is Iceberg snus legal in the UK?
Iceberg contains no tobacco, so it's a tobacco-free nicotine pouch rather than snus. The legal section above sets out the UK rules on snus and nicotine pouches, with dates and links to the legislation.
What side effects can strong pouches like Iceberg cause?
Side effects can include hiccups, gum irritation, nausea and dizziness, especially if you're not used to the strength, and nicotine is addictive. If you get them, take the pouch out and choose a lower strength next time.
For adult nicotine users only (18+). Contains nicotine, which is an addictive substance.
