Cuba Black Line nicotine pouches: 43mg, flavours & 150mg myth (2026)

📖 12 min read 16 October 2026

Cuba Black Line is 43mg of nicotine per pouch. It isn't 150mg and it isn't 200mg, whatever some shop filters say. That makes it one of the strongest pouches we stock, sitting just below Maggie Extreme at 45mg. Below you'll find what the numbers mean, how 43mg compares with other strong pouches, the 12 flavours we carry and what each pouch costs.

Quick answer: Cuba Black Line is a tobacco-free slim pouch from Nicotobacco at 43mg per pouch (66mg/g). It's only for experienced users already comfortable with very strong pouches, ideally 30mg and up. Anyone under 20mg should skip it, and even at 20–30mg it's a big jump. We stock 12 flavours as single cans at £3.79 a can (about 19p a pouch), and you can see the full range on our Cuba brand page.

What Cuba Black Line is

Cuba is made by Nicotobacco, which runs four lines under the brand: Cuba White, Cuba Low, Cuba Black and Cuba Ninja. Black is the strong end of the range. According to the manufacturer's Cuba Black page, the pouches are black slim pouches, 20 to a can.

The Cold Dry product page gives a release time of "up to 60 minutes" and says the pouches are made in Poland. Its FAQ also states that "Nicotobacco nicotine pouches do not contain tobacco leaves". That makes Black Line a nicotine pouch, not traditional snus. We cover the legal side further down.

The manufacturer describes Black as "created for experienced nicotine users" and "not suitable for beginners". We'd go further: it isn't for anyone who doesn't already use nicotine, full stop.

One correction while we're here. A listing elsewhere calls "White Line 16mg" beginner-friendly, but 16 is White Line's mg/g figure, not its per-pouch strength. The White Line we stock is 10.4mg per pouch, and no Cuba line is meant for people who don't already use nicotine.

The manufacturer also notes that "packaging design and nicotine strength may vary depending on local regulations". So go by the strength on the SnusBox listing and on the can in your hand.

How strong is Cuba Black Line? 43mg per pouch vs 66mg/g

The manufacturer's heading for Black reads: "66 mg/g Nicotine Strength — Extreme power with 43 mg nicotine per pouch". Both numbers are correct. They just measure different things, and mixing them up is how the 150mg confusion starts.

mg per pouch vs mg/g in one line

mg per pouch = mg/g × pouch weight in grams. The per-pouch figure is the nicotine actually sitting under your lip. mg/g only tells you how concentrated the filling is.

Cuba line mg/g (manufacturer) mg per pouch (manufacturer) Pouch weight (our maths)
Black Line 66mg/g 43mg 43 ÷ 66 ≈ 0.65g
White Line 16mg/g 10.4mg 10.4 ÷ 16 ≈ 0.65g

The pouch weight is our own calculation from the manufacturer's figures, not a number Nicotobacco publishes. The White Line figures come from the manufacturer's Cuba White page. Some shops list Black at 42.9mg, which is simply 66 × 0.65 rounded differently. It's the same product at the same strength.

The rule of thumb: never read a big number on a listing as a per-pouch figure until you've checked the unit. The per-pouch number is the one to compare between brands.

What about 150mg and 200mg?

Some retailers file Black Line under a "150mg/g" collection or a "150mg" filter. The manufacturer's Black page says 66mg/g and 43mg per pouch, and it lists no 150mg Black Line. We have no manufacturer source for any 150mg Cuba product, so we won't guess at what one contains.

As for 200mg, we found no manufacturer listing for any 200mg Cuba product at all.

Watch out for one more trap. Large mg figures on some pouches measure caffeine, not nicotine. Denssi caffeine pouches are 100mg, and the 150mg listings in our catalogue are Iceberg Energy caffeine pouches. Always check what the mg on a can is measuring.

Where 43mg sits among strong pouches

Here's where 43mg sits against the other strong nicotine pouches in our catalogue. Read it as "where you are now vs 43mg", not as a ladder to climb. The last column is our own maths: how many times stronger a Black Line pouch is than each product.

Strength (per pouch) Product Price 43mg is roughly ×
17mg Pablo Gold Edition (e.g. White Mint) £3.79 ×2.5
20mg 77 Ghost Mini Original £3.99 ×2.2
24mg Pablo Exclusive Red £3.79 ×1.8
25mg Garant Ice Extreme Cool Mint £3.99 ×1.7
25mg Zeus True North £4.29 ×1.7
30mg Pablo Exclusive (e.g. Frosted Mint) £3.79 ×1.4
32.5mg Havens Red Line Grape Cola £4.29 ×1.3
35mg Iceberg Black £4.55 ×1.2
35mg Aroma Attention Peppermint £3.99 ×1.2
43mg Cuba Black Line £3.79 —
45mg Maggie Extreme Mr Blue £4.55 Stronger than 43mg

If you're on 10–20mg pouches, 43mg is more than double what you're used to. It isn't your next step, and nothing on this list is a "next step" either. There's no need to go stronger than you're comfortable with.

If you've already decided to move up, go one small step at a time and never jump several rows at once. Maggie Extreme is in the table only to show where Black Line sits. It's the one nicotine pouch we stock above 43mg, not something to aim for.

Every Cuba Black Line flavour we stock

We carry 12 Black Line flavours, all 43mg and all £3.79 a can. We've grouped them by flavour family below. Where the manufacturer publishes a description we quote it. Where it doesn't, we stick to the name rather than invent tasting notes.

Flavour family Flavours we stock Manufacturer description
Cooling Cold Dry "taste of dry ice effect" (listed under Mint)
Berries Blackberry, Raspberry, Forest Berries, Grape, Cherry Cherry: "taste of cherry"
Stone and tropical fruit Peach, Mango, Pineapple, Tropical Fruit Mango: "juicy mango adds a sweet and exotic twist"
Sweet and soda Cola, Lollipop —

If you want something cooling rather than fruity or sweet, Cold Dry is the only cooling flavour in our Black Line range. The manufacturer files it under Mint and describes it as a "taste of dry ice effect".

Featured Product

The berry group is the biggest, with five flavours: Blackberry, Raspberry, Forest Berries, Grape and Cherry. Cherry is the one with a manufacturer note, a plain "taste of cherry".

Featured Product

The stone and tropical group covers Peach, Mango, Pineapple and Tropical Fruit. Mango has the most detailed description from the manufacturer: "juicy mango adds a sweet and exotic twist".

To save you a search: the manufacturer's Black collection lists more than 20 products, including flavours such as Apple Juice, Double Fresh and Blueberry. We don't stock those today. The 12 above are the flavours we sell as single cans.

Like the flavour but not the strength?

Every one of the 12 Black Line flavours we stock also comes in Cuba White Line at 10.4mg per pouch, at the same £3.79. If 43mg Grape is more than you want, 10.4mg White Line Grape keeps the flavour at roughly a quarter of the nicotine per pouch. For the full side-by-side comparison, see our Cuba White Line vs Black Line guide.

Using a 43mg pouch: placement, timing and side effects

The manufacturer says the pouch is "placed under the upper lip where nicotine is gradually released". Use one pouch at a time, and never double up.

The manufacturer quotes release of "up to 60 minutes", but treat that as a maximum, not a target. If it feels like too much, take it out straight away. There's nothing to push through. Follow the usage guidance on the can. The manufacturer publishes no written daily limits we can point you to, so we won't make figures up.

Commonly reported side effects include hiccups, gum irritation and nausea, and they tend to be more noticeable at high strengths. Our nicotine pouch side-effects guide covers them in more detail. Nicotine is addictive, and the manufacturer's own footer warns: "For adults only. This product is harmful to your health and causes addiction."

At least one YouTube video treats Black Line as a "vomit warning" dare. It isn't a test of anything. Nausea is your cue to take the pouch out, not a box to tick.

Is Cuba Black Line snus? The UK legal position

No. Cuba Black Line is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch, while traditional snus contains tobacco.

As of October 2026, selling tobacco for oral use (traditional snus) is illegal in the UK, and has been since 1992 under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 re-enacts the ban from 29 October 2026 (s.8). SnusBox sells tobacco-free nicotine pouches, not tobacco snus.

As of October 2026: from 29 October 2026, it is an offence to sell a vaping or nicotine product, including nicotine pouches, to anyone under 18 in England and Wales (Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026, s.10). For the full explainer, read is snus legal in the UK?

Who Cuba Black Line is for (and who should skip it)

For: experienced users already comfortable with very strong pouches, roughly 30mg and up, who want a slim 43mg pouch at £3.79 in a choice of 12 flavours.

In between (20–30mg): 43mg is still a big jump, roughly 1.4 to 2.2 times stronger. There's no need to go stronger. If you choose to anyway, do it gradually rather than in one leap.

Not for: anyone under 20mg, and anyone who doesn't already use nicotine. If you like the Cuba flavours, White Line at 10.4mg is the version to look at, and our White vs Black guide linked above lays out the differences.

FAQs

How strong is Cuba Black Line?

The manufacturer states 43mg of nicotine per pouch, or 66mg/g. That puts it near the top of our catalogue, just below Maggie Extreme 45mg. It's only for people already used to very strong pouches.

Is Cuba Blackline 150mg or 200mg?

Not according to the manufacturer, which lists Black Line at 66mg/g and 43mg per pouch. We can't find any manufacturer source for a 150mg or 200mg Cuba pouch. Go by the per-pouch figure on the can and the listing.

What's the difference between mg per pouch and mg/g?

mg per pouch is the nicotine in a single pouch, while mg/g is how concentrated the filling is. Multiply mg/g by the pouch weight (about 0.65g for Black Line, by our maths) to get the per-pouch figure. The per-pouch figure is the one to compare.

What flavours does Cuba Black Line come in?

We stock 12 as single cans: Blackberry, Cherry, Cola, Cold Dry, Forest Berries, Grape, Lollipop, Mango, Peach, Pineapple, Raspberry and Tropical Fruit. Other shops list more, but these are the ones in stock at SnusBox today.

How much does Cuba Black Line cost in the UK?

It's £3.79 a can at SnusBox, which is about 19p per pouch based on the manufacturer's 20 per can. The multi-buy discount tiers and per-pouch maths are in the price section above.

Is Cuba Black Line too strong if I use 10–20mg pouches?

Almost certainly, because 43mg is more than double a 20mg pouch. There's no need to go stronger than you're comfortable with, and if you do, go one small step at a time. To keep a flavour you like at a lower strength, the same flavours come in White Line at 10.4mg.

How long should you keep a Cuba Black pouch in?

Follow the guidance on the can. Treat the manufacturer's "up to 60 minutes" release figure as a maximum, not a goal, and take the pouch out as soon as it feels like too much.

Can I use two Cuba Black pouches at once?

No. Use one pouch at a time and stay within the manufacturer's guidance. Doubling up on a 43mg pouch makes side effects such as nausea more likely.

Is Cuba Black Line snus, and who makes it?

It's a tobacco-free nicotine pouch made by Nicotobacco, not traditional snus. SnusBox sells only tobacco-free pouches, and the legal section above explains where tobacco snus stands in the UK.

What are the side effects of very strong nicotine pouches?

Commonly reported side effects include hiccups, gum irritation and nausea, and they tend to be more noticeable at high strengths, so if you feel unwell, take the pouch out. Nicotine is addictive. Our side-effects guide, linked above, goes into more detail.

For adult nicotine users only (18+). Contains nicotine, which is an addictive substance.
