Siberia snus UK: real mg, the law and what to buy instead (2026)

Killa Cold Mint 13.2mg tobacco-free nicotine pouch can on a kitchen counter, a Siberia snus alternative in the UK

Siberia is two products sharing one name. The original Siberia -80 is a tobacco snus, and tobacco snus can't legally be sold in the UK. Siberia All White is a tobacco-free, mint-only nicotine pouch that retailers list at 33mg per gram, which works out to roughly 16.5–25mg per pouch for the main formats. We never sell tobacco snus, and we don't currently stock Siberia All White either, so this guide covers what the confusing figures mean and which icy mints we do sell.

Quick answer: Siberia's tobacco snus can't legally be sold in the UK (as of October 2026, under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992), and we don't stock the tobacco-free All White pouches, listed at about 16.5–25mg per pouch. If you're used to 20mg+, the closest match is Pablo Exclusive Ice Cold 24mg (£3.79); if not, try Killa Cold Dry 13.2mg (£3.79).

What is Siberia snus?

According to GN Tobacco, Siberia is made by GN Tobacco Sweden AB at its factory in Enköping, Sweden. The company was founded in 2004 and also makes Oden's and White Fox. So despite the name, it's a Swedish brand.

Two separate lines carry the Siberia name. The first is the tobacco Siberia -80 snus range, which covers Black, Brown and White Dry, plus Slim and Mini versions. The second is Siberia All White, a tobacco-free nicotine pouch range. Searches for "siberian snus", "russian snus" and "serbia snus" all lead back to this brand. It isn't Russian or Serbian, and one retailer says the name refers to extreme cold.

Siberia tobacco snus vs Siberia All White: what's legal in the UK

As of October 2026, selling tobacco for oral use (traditional snus) has been illegal in the UK since 1992 under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 re-enacts the ban from 29 October 2026 (s.8). SnusBox sells tobacco-free nicotine pouches, not tobacco snus.

The format that catches people out is Siberia -80 White Dry. It's a tobacco snus, listed by retailers at 43mg per gram, and retailers describe its drier white portion as dripping less than moist snus. Being drier doesn't make it tobacco-free, so it falls under the ban like the rest of the -80 range.

UK retailers describe Siberia All White as 100% tobacco-free. As of October 2026, the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 defines a "nicotine product" to include any substance containing nicotine that is intended to be delivered into the body, other than tobacco, vapes and licensed medicines (s.51). Tobacco-free nicotine pouches fall under that definition rather than the tobacco-for-oral-use ban.

Product line Contains tobacco? Can it be sold in the UK (as of October 2026)?
Siberia -80 (Black, Brown, Slim, Mini) Yes No
Siberia -80 White Dry Yes No
Siberia All White (Original, Slim, Super Slim, Ultra Slim, Mini, Maxi) No Yes, as a nicotine product (s.51). Under-18 sales are an offence in England and Wales from 29 Oct 2026 (s.10)

On age of sale: from 29 October 2026, it is an offence to sell a vaping or nicotine product, including nicotine pouches, to anyone under 18 in England and Wales (Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026, s.10).

If you landed here searching for "Siberia chewing tobacco" or "chew bags", you don't chew either snus or pouches. You tuck them under your lip. Our Swedish snus vs UK nicotine pouches explainer and our comparison of pouches and tobacco products cover the differences. For the full background on the ban, read our explainer on whether snus is legal in the UK.

How strong is Siberia? Per gram vs per pouch explained

Every All White listing we found gives the same figure: 33mg per gram (3.3%). That tells you how concentrated the blend is, not how much nicotine is in each pouch. To get mg per pouch, multiply mg per gram by the pouch weight in grams.

Here's a worked example. An 11g Ultra Slim can holds 20 pouches, so each pouch weighs 0.55g. 0.55 × 33 = 18.15mg per pouch.

Format Listed mg per pouch Listed pouch weight Note
Original 24.75mg 0.75g Consistent across listings
Slim Around 25mg (listed at 24.75–25mg) 15g can of 20 (one listing) Close agreement
Super Slim 24.45mg, 24.75mg or 21.45mg Listed at 0.65g or 0.75g The 0.75g figure matches Original exactly and looks copied
Ultra Slim 18.15mg 0.55g (11g can of 20) One retailer says 16.5mg, but its own can weight works out to 18.15mg
Mini 16.5mg Not listed One listing
Maxi 29.7mg 0.9g One retailer only

Figures from UK and EU retailer listings, October 2026, not our own testing.

Slimmer formats show lower mg per pouch because the same 33mg/g blend goes into a smaller pouch. The concentration stays the same and there's simply less of it.

Why retailer numbers don't match

The listings disagree on more than strength. Some say 20 pouches per can and others say 22, and some format pages look like they were copy-pasted from each other. One retailer quotes up to 49.5mg per pouch, and we found no other listing to back that up. Trust the figure printed on the can over any web page, including this one.

White Dry shows how easily the two units get mixed up. Its 43mg is per gram, it's a tobacco product, and the per-pouch figures quoted for it range from about 21mg to 34.4mg.

The same problem applies when you compare brands. A per-gram label like Siberia's 33mg/g can't be lined up against a pouch labelled 11mg or 30mg until you convert it, so compare per-pouch figures where you can. Our nicotine pouch strength guide walks through every mg band.

Every All White format is strong. None of them is suitable for anyone not already used to 20mg+ pouches. Higher strengths make hiccups, gum irritation and nausea more likely, and nicotine is addictive.

Is there a 150mg Siberia?

No. No retailer listing we found shows a 150mg Siberia.

150mg figures usually belong to caffeine pouches. In our range, Iceberg Energy 150mg is a nicotine-free caffeine pouch, which is a different product category altogether. We've unpicked the same mix-up in our Cuba Black Line guide and its 150mg myth.

Siberia flavours and ingredients

Siberia All White comes in one flavour family. Retailers list it as icy mint, menthol or peppermint, and none of them list a fruit version.

The fuller ingredient list on retailer pages is plant fibre (E460), water, nicotine, acidity regulator (E500), salt, flavourings, glycerin (E422), E1520 and xanthan gum. Other retailer pages give a shorter list without water, salt or glycerin. We haven't found a manufacturer spec sheet, so check the can for the definitive list.

How to use Siberia pouches

  1. Place one pouch under your top lip. One retailer describes the Ultra Slim as sitting snugly there.
  2. Expect a strong tingle or burn, which is normal at this strength. One retailer suggests around 30 minutes per pouch. Treat that as their suggestion, not a rule.
  3. Take the pouch out if it feels too strong. Use one at a time and follow the guidance on the can.
  4. Put used pouches in the lid compartment if your can has one. If it doesn't, wrap them and bin them.

At high strengths, hiccups, gum irritation and nausea are more likely. Our guide to nicotine pouch side effects covers what to watch for.

Where to buy Siberia in the UK, and what we stock instead

We don't currently stock Siberia. When we checked in October 2026, some UK Siberia listings showed as sold out or empty. Whatever you find, never buy the tobacco versions, including White Dry, for UK use. The legal section above explains why.

ZYN XX Strong Menthol Ice 13.5mg nicotine pouches, a strong mint alternative to Siberia stocked at SnusBox

Based on the listings alone, Siberia All White is one very strong icy mint in several pouch sizes. Inconsistent data and patchy UK availability hold it back.

Brands label strength differently, so check the can when you compare any of these against Siberia's per-pouch figures.

Killa Cold Dry is the sensible pick here, at 13.2mg for £3.79. That's still a strong pouch, so if you're coming from lower strengths, step up gradually. "Cold Dry" is a flavour name. We have no evidence that Killa, Greatest or any other Cold Dry uses a dry pouch like White Dry, so don't treat any of them as a White Dry equivalent. ZYN XX Strong Menthol Ice at 13.5mg is the option to choose if you prefer menthol over mint; ZYN describes Menthol Ice as having "a cooling taste of eucalyptus and menthol" (ZYN).

FAQs

Is Siberia snus legal in the UK?

The tobacco Siberia -80 snus, including White Dry, can't legally be sold in the UK. As of October 2026, selling tobacco for oral use has been banned since 1992 under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992, and s.8 of the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 re-enacts the ban from 29 October 2026. Tobacco-free pouches are treated differently: as of October 2026, the Act defines a "nicotine product" to include any substance containing nicotine intended to be delivered into the body, other than tobacco, vapes and licensed medicines (s.51), and from 29 October 2026 it is an offence to sell one to anyone under 18 in England and Wales (s.10).

Do Siberia pouches contain tobacco?

UK retailers describe Siberia All White as tobacco-free. The original Siberia -80 snus, including White Dry, does contain tobacco, and that's the version that can't be sold in the UK.

How strong is Siberia snus in mg?

Siberia All White is listed at 33mg per gram. Per pouch, retailers list about 16.5mg (Mini) to 25mg (Slim), and one lists a Maxi at 29.7mg. The listings disagree, so check the figure printed on the can.

What's the difference between Siberia snus and Siberia nicotine pouches?

Siberia snus is the original tobacco -80 range, which can't be sold in the UK. Siberia All White is the tobacco-free nicotine pouch version. It's mint-flavoured and listed at 33mg per gram.

What is Siberia White Dry?

White Dry is a tobacco snus in the Siberia -80 range, listed at 43mg per gram, with a drier portion that retailers say drips less. It isn't an All White pouch. Because it contains tobacco, it can't legally be sold in the UK.

Is Siberia snus Russian?

No. According to GN Tobacco, it's made by GN Tobacco Sweden AB in Enköping, Sweden. One retailer says the name refers to extreme cold rather than to where it comes from.

Is there a 150mg Siberia?

No retailer listing we've found shows a 150mg Siberia. 150mg figures usually belong to caffeine pouches such as Iceberg Energy, which contain no nicotine.

Where can I buy Siberia in the UK?

SnusBox doesn't currently stock Siberia, and some UK listings showed as sold out or empty when we checked in October 2026. The closest icy mints we do stock run from 13.2mg up to 25mg and are in the tables above.

How much is Siberia snus?

Is 20 pouches a day a lot?

We won't give a daily target, so follow the guidance on your can. Using pouches more often, especially strong ones, makes side effects such as nausea, hiccups and gum irritation more likely, and nicotine is addictive.

What is the strongest snus in mg?

Among the pouches we stock, the highest listed strengths are Maggie Extreme Mr Blue at 45mg and Cuba Black Line at 43mg, and our ranking of the strongest pouches we stock lists every 20mg+ pouch.
